शिरच्छेद !

क्रूर उन्हाळी खड्गाने,
वार केले धरेवरी,
पाणी पळाले, अश्रू सुकले,
असंख्य भेगा तिच्या उरी!

असह्य होता तिला वेदना,
धरती घाली आर्त साद!
ललकारी घुमू दे आगमनाची!
त्रिलोकी उमटू दे पडसाद!

गरजत येऊ द्या मेघसेना,
आक्रमुनी टाका नभांगणास!
कृष्णमेघांनो सूर्य लपवा!
लावुनी सर्व सामर्थ्य पणास!

दुष्काळाच्या जयद्रथाला,
भुलवुनी असे गाफील करा!
बरसात करुनी नीरशरांची,
पुन्हा त्याचा शिरच्छेद करा!!
