Are you a newbie to the world of sarees?
Are you the one who can’t differentiate between a Kanjeevaram and a Kota???
Do you need 3 people to help you wear a saree???
And 12 pins to keep it on?????
Do you fret and loose sleep when you have to wear a saree???

NO WORRIES!
But I hope you do follow football, Because what I’m going to do, is to draw some analogies…
Coz…Walking in a saree is a lot like playing football…
Follow these and you are ready…

#1 Wear Heels
Ever seen a footballer’s shoes? Well football shoes generally have cleats that are about 3/4 of an inch long. They are often used by players who play on turf fields because they provide spring and traction and a better grip on harder turf surfaces. Spikes also give football players a physical advantage and confidence…

Same applies to you….Studies show that height increases confidence….
So go and get yourself some pumps!!

#2 Never look at your feet…look at the goal post…oops! I mean ahead!

Footballers never look at their feet or the ball while running or dodging…
Similarly look up gals…and don’t worry about your steps!

# 3 Use your hands!.. :)

The trick here is to use your hands to your advantage…

#4 Never move around the whole ground…stick to your place…;)
Every Player has his own place. They do not run around the whole ground. Similarly stick to your comfort zone..when in a sare. Despite of what they show on the TV, there is really no need to run behind a car, when you can barely walk….

And in the end just take pride in whatever you are and you’ve won the game…..oh!! I mean the heart …;)

Do you sometimes feel that there’s another person inside you???? Like you are there..but there’s one more person, the AWESOME PERSON.

You are more practical, less of a risk taker
While the other is cool, has time to enjoy…its that mad streak (of genius????) inside of you…
I feel like that many a times…

Here is a conversation of me with myself….
Everything in Black is me
And everything written in red is by that other person(AWESOME PERSON)

8:20 am Home
I have a 8:56 train to catch. If I miss that I’ll miss Subbu Sir’s lecture. My attendance is alrealy low in his subject. SHIT!
Where is the case study he is going to discuss today?
I thought it was in this file only!

8:25 am Home
Forget it! Ill take a Xerox. Breakfast???? No leave it! 8:56 train!

8:28 am under the building
Ha! My luck! No rickshaw today! I wonder why don’t get a rick just the days im late! chuck it abha, you are late every day!
Im going on time from tomorrow..
Yeah right….. totally…

8:33 am At the bus stop
I think I should just take this bus. It’s cheaper and I am anyways not going to reach in time…I might as well save some money!

8:38 am Inside the bus
“Ek station dena”…I wonder why that conductor’s ticket box makes so much noise..its so damn irritating…We Indians preserve unwanted things as if they are monuments…..
Why didn’t I find any other place to sit! This fat lady is covering almost the entire seat!
Don’t u mock at her girl! the rate at which you are eating nowadays you are soon going to become like that
Very funny! Shut up

8:48 am outside ANDHERI station
Why do people rush to get out of the bus! “MOVE!!!!!!” yea rite! You had to stamp my foot! And I’ve not even reached the train!
I think I should bunk today….what lectures do I have?????
Obviously I have not written it down…
But how does that matter????
Ok I will bunk after lunch!
Why lunch??? Bunk now!
Now????
Yea…I should go and take a bus to CST….Roam around for some time alone. Eat something good and go home. Screw the studies. Anyways I don’t listen to a word in the class!
I think I should go home, think about some important things in life….
I could even start studying ;)

// the whole time I am walking towards the station//

8:56 am Just inside ANDHERI STATION
Ok then decided! If I miss this 8:56 train, I buy a ticket to CST, roam around in Colaba!
I also need a pair of Osho’s! Amu, sneha and me used to go to Colaba! Man! Those were the days! What has life become now!!

9.00 am under the indicator
Whoa!! 1 minute for 8 :56! RUN!!!!!!!!
But…
Shut up!
Colaba!
#$%%$^%
Osho’s…….
@#$%$%&

// The author manages to reach the platform just as the train comes in….still gets late for college….Listens to something on punctuality from the professor….Puts her head down in front of the teacher…and gets sucked into this SYSTEM once again….one more day!!! //

PS: and this happens to the author…..EVERYDAY!!
