Been on a date lately ?

  ———————–Dedicated to all my girlfriends….—————————–

“Anna! Ek Maggi….ek chilli Maggi…ek samosa sambar…4 cutting aur ek coffee”

The 5 of us huddle up over a table. It’s a special day after all. One of us has been on a date last night and we are here to discuss it.

If you are a guy…you take your girl on a nice evening, for a crappy movie, then a candle night dinner and you feel you have done your job well…..the date is over…

But for a girl, the date has just begun.

Every girl has a gang of girls…and when a girl goes on a date….the same night she must tell what happened exactly word to word to 1 girl atleast..and in the coming week…. the rest of the gang has to be updated.

And so, here we were…my gang of 5…to discuss THE DATE!!

It usually starts with the girl who has been told the whole thing….

”Do you know what happened!!!”      *a tint of mischief*

“Thats what we are here for” the others answer impatiently…

Now, this is a clue for the one who went on the date…if she does not say ”ok. Wait I’ll tell”  in the next 30 seconds…it is the responsibility of the group to fire the questions straight away…..

After the customary questions…like                                                                                     “Which place?”
“Which movie?”                                                                                                                     “How did you go?”                                                                                                                 “What time did you return??”

the questions of actual relevance begin…..                                                                               “Ok! Tell us everything!”

“ Anna! Do sevpuri aur 3 cutting!”

  • Every word is repeated…every expression is re- enacted….                                                       He said ”you are looking very good..”  and then I said…..
  • ”Its good that your classes are at Vashi”
  • “He kept staring into my eyes…. and i was like OK! atleast say something”  😉 😉 😉

Then every word is analysed…regression analysis is done for each sentence and action…and      co-relation is found out for the same 😉

What did he mean when he said ”Its like Ive known you for years”

What do we take that ”I usually don’t talk so much to a girl’

“I cant believe I shared this with you….”

Finally it is decided whether the guy is worth dating/ should be kept on hold/ rejected straightaway….by the group ofcource…

You see…until it is not is the right and moreover a moral responsibility of the group to look after their friend….so although a guy is dating 1 girl…he is actually also ‘pseudo dating’ her 4 other friends….who have diverse opinions, likes and dislikes, tastes…perceptions…and ideas of good and bad…

Well…to all the men, all that I can say is…. BEST OF LUCK!

Anna ek cutting please yaar! Aaj ke liye jyaada ho gaya!”                                ….after all I’m (pseudo) dating 3 guys now!

Cheers to our friendship girls!
